The Blueprint Project searches for the next generation of Aussie dance talent

Written by on May 6, 2025

Are you a new or emerging Australian dance producer or artist looking to get your big break?

A new national competition seeks to uncover and amplify emerging electronic artists, providing them with career-defining opportunities, mentorship, and high-level exposure.

Blue Music Services has just unveiled The Blueprint Project – a new artist development initiative created to support and spotlight the next wave of emerging Australian dance and electronic artists.

Officially launching today, the project is now open for submissions, with entries closing at 5pm AEST on Friday 30th May.

Featuring real, tangible industry support beyond surface-level exposure, The Blueprint Project provides one artist with a career-defining package that touches every key area of artist development – from PR and strategy to visual identity, A&R feedback, live performance and mentorship.

At a time when Australians stream more dance music per capita than any other country in the world, the electronic scene continues to thrive at both a grassroots and global level. But for many emerging artists, the gap between making great music and getting heard is still vast. With industry resources often directed toward established acts, The Blueprint Project aims to shift that focus – offering essential infrastructure and professional guidance to help rising talent break through. This initiative recognises not just the cultural importance of supporting homegrown music, but the global opportunity that exists for Australian artists pushing boundaries in electronic sound.

WHAT’S IN THE PRIZE PACK

The winning artist will receive a full PR and marketing campaign from Blue Music Services, designed to strategically amplify their profile and music in the electronic space. They’ll also receive two pairs of professional audio grade Sennheiser headphones – the HD 490 PROs for production clarity, and the iconic HD 25s, trusted by DJs worldwide.

Artist development continues with 1-on-1 consultations from respected industry experts: Gabe Bravo (Cloak Ent) will offer guidance on artist management, while Sarah Hamilton (Golden Hour) will consult on release strategy and distribution. Visual identity is covered with a bespoke packshot design by Josh Hart-Vrijkotte, and the winner will also receive personalised A&R feedback from renowned Australian producers Luude and Anna Lunoe. As part of the prize, the artist will also receive a set at an Untitled event, providing invaluable stage experience and audience exposure.

JUDGING PANEL

Submissions will be reviewed by a carefully selected panel of industry professionals known for their influence across electronic music and beyond. This includes Tom Cameron of Ableton, Kailyn Crabbe of triple J, Jane Slingo of EMC, and Jack Colquhoun from Mixmag, and Jess Phillips from the Untitled Group.

Whether your sound leans into club-ready bass, left-field electronica or high-energy dance anthems, The Blueprint Project is here to champion the next generation of Australian electronic artists.
